When I moved to UK and whenever the topic of music and France was discussed…this is what was said 90% of the time : ” ah oui…jei connais…euh….Vanessa Parrrrradis…Joe Le Taxi! While that song was cringing…she actually came up with a few good things since.Well, I think so anyway…

    I beg to differ! You are forgetting the French music phenomena that is/was Plastic Bertrand and that classic trash-rock song: Ca Plane Pour Moi, King of the Divan, that was, incidentally, covered quite superbly by Richard Thompson.
