Robert Doisneau

In awe with the photographer, as a teenager I bought my first black and white film and started taking pictures of Paris…they were rubbish! Not long ago on the french news I saw the couple on the famous “Baiser De L’ Hotel De Ville”. Obviously looking old but still very together and happy! Apparently they were totally unaware of the picture being taken!

  1. That baiser photograph is simply beautiful and romantic.

  2. wow…those photos are absolutley beautiful. Theres something about black and white or sepia photos that I love and these ones are particularly inspiring.

  3. I love B&W and sepia; my problem is never being able to look at a scene and ’see’ it in those shades before I take the picture. Takes a real artist to see the world in that way.

  4. The double bass and brolly - fantastic

  5. How eerily and hauntingly beautiful. Oh Slyvie it made me cry as we just lost a very cherished pet that my daughter had for 17 years. Her husband is in Kuwait and now this….I wonder shall we here Misty’s lovely sounds in the background of our lives ? Thank you for a most moving share today…simply elegant as I you are.~Jackie

Ghosty: I agree, you can have the best setting, camera …if you have not got the eye…it will not be special!
