The little baby is out just in time for Christmas!

How I have pulled my hair over that book you will never know…

The process of putting it together was relatively straight forward and I have really enjoyed watching the entries coming in! You are all nuts but that’s what I love about the crazy little world of bloggers…always ready for anything!

I am so excited about this book! I did have lots of explaining to do to Ben Ouai and Ananas though…Like how come mummy is fretting with playmobils ( I knew we would make our money worth when we bought these things last Christmas).

Have you ever tried to sit a Playmobil on a globe holding a business card? I don’t blame you! You have no idea how awkward these little creatures can be!

It is 11 pm at night I am making my son hold the light in the right direction and stopping him from burning my hair at the same time ( yes my poor hair again), Ananas is holding the background paper ( courtesy of Ananas as well) all this in order to get theeee “SHOT”.

This went on for quite a while and I will spare you the tedious process of getting the image ready for it to look “good” in Blurb terms.

Kevin was on the other side of the channel at the time mastering the whole operation, several emails later we both agreed it was good.

The next day…I looked at the preview supplied by Blurb and freaked out as I missed out an important note warning about the low resolution of the images. The front cover looked fuzzy and totally uneven!

My mind has been put at rest since but I won’t sleep properly until I have held a copy in my hands! In the meantime there is nothing you can do to help alleviate my “malaise”.

If I urge you to go and buy it and the whole book turns out upside down…it will only increase the number of unhappy “bloggers/friends/customers/users against ME!

I could not live with that….be kind!

    Sylvie not only have you gone all delicately festive on us (lovely btw) but you have done a most tremendous job with the book.
    I have signed up and I will be ordering 2.
    Just have to add I have never (strange as it may seem!) felt the urge to balance Playmobils on a globe and after your experience I am glad I never had .. hee hee (well done that girl… oh and Ben Ouai & Ananas… Father Christmas is watching and helping your Mum like this counts double in the ‘good’ stakes ;-) )

    We invited all the bloggers on Fuelmyblog who wanted to take part to submit their own picture hiding behind their avatar. The pics were uploaded on Flickr and then published into Blurb. We will see how this first book will work in terms of quality and in raising money.
    Blurb agreed to give 15% of all sales to Doctors With No Borders. It is already a best sellers at Blurb so finger crossed ;-)
