Party on the beach in February…

I don’t want to be going on about the weather as a lot of you are enduring a harsh winter right now but as per my previous post the weather here has been rather special. Sunday was great my friend D had a party on the beach for her 40th birthday! It was full of cliches in the sense that we were eating oysters, drinking Pineau and other white delights, yes 70 Chablissss too. The day was great we knew hardly anyone there but felt really at ease with everybody all in all a great day!

  1. Bah! It’s windy and cold, and the beach would be brutal! Looks like a great time was had though! I’d love some oysters on a warm beach :)

  2. Sylvie it is unseasonably warm here too.. I sat in the sunshine basking in the delights that it brought… no Chablis, however, or oysters merely a tuna salad baguette and a cappuccino (we are so continental here even if it is only baguette & fancy coffee!!)

  3. *sigh* an ice storm has hit Upstate New York.

It’s pretty to look at the trees encased in ice–except when they’re falling down–and when power lines go kaput.

I shall live vicariously through you and 70s.

  4. Ghosty: it was nice, I remember last year at the same time we had consistent rain for about 3 weeks so this is just very special ;-)
70: tuna baguette is nice too! now tell me or rather don’t tell me…the cappucino, was it from Caffe Nero?
Cowgirl Betty: Hi Betty….I do feel for you, I am so bad with cold weather, I turn into an hermit!
