A very cold and windy friday evening in Place Verdun on one of the main square in La Rochelle. We are running towards the nearest cafe…well the rest of the tribe is, I am left behind …taken by the moving exchange between the sun and the windows squaring off the square…

Ah Sylvie, you’ve managed to capture my favourite hour beautifully … the magic hour!
BEauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuutiful collage! so…now yo TELL ME how did you do it!
I met 2 English women this weekend. They sing in choirs and taked hundreds of cups of tea…!
TNB: Magic or Happy Hour? tks
Catalina: a considerable use of Photoshop was required md’am, Tea? English ladies drinking tea? How unusual!!! x

Yes we do drink lots of tea…. Earl Grey in my case.

Anything liquid would do at the moment …….
[used to live in a house that used to be called Verdun House - it was a scene of a battle wasn't it?]

Sylvie, could you be so kind as to email me a large version of this pic? What a lovely desktop it would make
Teas all round everyone
Ghosty yes no problem
I would never tease anyone ……… tease hease
Thanks Sylvie, for the gorgeous ‘glimpses’. We are planning to re-locate from u.k. to La Rochelle later this year. I feel like I’ve got a friend already! (Don’t worry, I shan’t stalk you!) When I’m having one of my, ‘oh god, what are we thinking, tearing our daughter from her friends, expecting our dog to pick up a new language, will I cope without Topshop?….’ moments, looking at your pics, makes it all seem like a fab idea again. Ta.
Hi Betty!
Great we will have to meet over a cup of tea!
Your fears are still very fresh in my head, you will be amazed how quickly your children/dog will adapt…I will have to be brutally honest…Top Shop (lack of it)is the hardest thing yet to digest lol….UK is never too far though….
DP: You just can’t help yourself can you? Milk, sugar?
What kind words. I feel as though I have just managed to sneak an extra dunk from a Bourbon.
lol forget Bourbon and embrace Pineau
I meant biscuit, but, when in France, why not!!
Oh my!!! I LOVE that collage! I would BUY that!!!
Thanks Olga, it could look interesting printed on canvas
nice picture
Thanks Tip Top
Gorgeous!! La Rochelle is on of my favorite towns in France!! It’s so nice to live so close to the ocean… Take care, Leesa
