Last Sunday after a trip to get the all so important ration of vegs at the local market of La Pallice, we ventured out to La Rochelle’s harbour. I really like the place, during the week-end it feels like an empty theatre, a contrast with the week days where the place is packed with movements, hard labour, strange codes that are only understood by the workers. thank you for sharing this insight on your life DP, I take this is where you developed your fascination for the frogs?

Nice to see and hear some about La Pallice. I was in the US Army, and was assigned in La Pallice at the old Jeumont Kaserne. I really enjoyed my time there. I seen recent pictures of it as part of the huge construction project there now, and all the old barracks are gone. Would love to see any pictures of Jeumont from the 1950-1970 time frame.
