It was caused for celebration yesterday in La Rochelle, it has been nothing less than 400 years since the first settlers made their way to Canada, “the New World”. Celebrations have been going on for a week here but yesterday was marked by the visit of Michaelle Jean, Segolene amongst other members of the French government, multi coloured aliens, the impessive Belem passed through the two towers for the first time in history and finally the departure of La Grande Traversee in an attempt to follow the trails of Samuel de Champlain eta: 24th June in Quebec…

It had been a while since my last bird delivery…as I waited in the car today while Ben Ouai went for his weekly athletic class I finished a couple of sketches.

It has been a while since it has been the two of us. I have no idea where the time has gone over the last few weeks, all I know is that I have been  losing track of it. I am pretty good at time management but It feels as if I have been somehow robbed of time.

Guilt cripples at every opportunity and I don’t really know where it is coming from. I seem to be forever planning ahead, every minute of the day is being utilized in order to get closer to some  kind  of “target” that I impose on myself.

Work has been an ongoing and unfinished  tapestry of threads that all need care and attention, children are yet another ongoing source of anxiety and challenges, future  is wrapped by  a big question mark that leaves me unsettled  and  scared. As I am typing these words, the little  voice inside is already hard at work trying to make sense of all my unfounded fears and self doubts….it will pass no doubt…

It Sunday, the sand improvised a bed for me, my skin is warming under the gentle stroking of the rays

The clouds are busy playing hide and seek with the sun, I stay there for a minute or two, my mind shifting between real and dream I am not too sure where I am or where I want to be, these cumulus drag me out of my daze and get the best of my curiosity…I slowly reach for my camera…

This week with the rest of the tribe we set off to the Futuroscope in Poitiers.The experience was more a trip back in time as opposed to a futuristic one but was punctuated with a lot of laughters and bonne humeur I also really enjoyed playing with the camera, the light and the buildings had a very good interaction that day!

18.00pm is a fantastic time to go to Cafe de la Paix the waiters are very moody but that gets forgotten the

minute the Pineau is on the table and our friend called Sun turns up to the rendez- vous

Walking through the parc Charruyer in La Rochelle offers great pleasure, it is wearing an elegant coat at the moment and the urge to roll in it is strong
